Rift Valley Adventures teams up with Ol Pejeta Conservancy and local communities, to give students an opportunity to practically engage with conservationists and wildlife experts to understand the complexities of integrated wildlife land management programs as well as give a helping hand to get a feel of what it really takes to protect our wildlife heritage including the last two northern white rhinos and learning through participation about endangered great apes at the world-renowned Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Students will also have a chance to work on some of our long term sustainable community projects surrounding the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The adventure highlight is our unique bike safari alongside some of Kenya’s best wildlife.
Rift Valley Adventures designs tailor-made outdoor adventure travel and educational trips for inspiring, stimulating and unforgettable outdoor adventures and educational trips to some of the most exciting destinations on the planet. One of these destinations is Ol Pejeta.
Based out of their permanent camp in the eastern sector of the Conservancy, Rift Valley Adventures arrange activities such as kayaking and abseiling for guests who want a little more adrenaline of their safari. The Camp is perfect for big groups, with 15 large, secure bedroom tents. Each tent can house 2 to 12 people depending on group circumstances. Within the securely fenced campgrounds is a large lounge area with a flat-screen TV for educational videos/presentations, a large dining area as well as an outside dining area, large fireplace and bar.
Activities within the camp include rock climbing and abseiling on our tower, a high and low ropes course and mountain biking skills course. There is also a volleyball court, football goals and if that’s not enough just 600m from camp is the Ewaso Nyiro River where we go kayaking and canoeing.
